Give a Meaningful Gift
Send a Complimentary eCard
These meaningful gifts support education for children in the remote Upper Dolpo, one of the highest and most isolated regions on Earth. When you purchase an e-card, you are making a tax-deductible donation that brings learning, opportunity, and hope to a Himalayan community where education was out of reach for generations. On behalf of the Dolpapa, the people of Dolpo, thank you for helping ensure every child can learn and thrive.
Every gift matters
• For just $10, a reusable menstrual kit helps a girl stay in school, learn without interruption, and pursue her future with confidence
• $50 can provide school supplies for one student
• Larger gifts help fund teacher salaries, supplies, meals, and essential school operations
For gifts of $100 or more, we recommend the “Gift as Big as a Mountain” e-card. The photograph features Makalu, the fifth-highest mountain in the world at 8,485m, symbolizing the scale of your generosity and the heights these students can reach.
How it works

Altitude Project supports education in Nepal’s remote Upper Dolpo, one of the highest and most isolated inhabited regions in the world. Villages like Karang are reached only on foot after days of trekking over 5,000-metre mountain passes, and winter snows often cut them off entirely.
This region is culturally rich, preserving deep Tibetan traditions, but daily life is difficult. Families rely on subsistence farming and semi-nomadic herding, and many children must help out instead of going to school, continuing the cycle of poverty.
With your support, village schools become gateways to opportunity. They help children learn, grow, and build brighter futures for themselves and their communities. Government funding is minimal, so donor generosity is essential to keep these schools running.
In addition to education, Altitude Project helps strengthen communities through small but vital projects including health posts, greenhouses to strengthen food security, and menstrual hygiene kits that support girls’ and women’s dignity and school attendance.
Altitude Project is a registered non-profit in British Columbia and a registered charity in Canada. With your support, we are helping some of the world’s most remote communities build a stronger, healthier, more hopeful tomorrow.
